Rome and Krakow host the first multiplier events

PUENTE Project multiplier events are bringing the project closer to professionals, educators and organisations working to support the inclusion of Ukrainian refugees across Europe.

Through these local meetings, PUENTE Project partners are sharing the project’s results, opening spaces for exchange and strengthening cooperation among people and organisations committed to inclusive, person-centred support.

Under the shared aim of promoting non-formal education as a bridge towards inclusion, the multiplier events are connecting health, social care and education professionals, university communities, institutions and civil society organisations. Each event offers an opportunity to present the project, discuss its practical application and reflect on how European cooperation can support people who have been displaced by the war in Ukraine.

Italy: presenting PUENTE Project to health, social and education professionals

The Italian PUENTE Project Multiplier Event took place on 10 June at the St John of God Institute in Rome, with the participation of a large audience made up of health, social and education professionals.

During the event, Dr Massimo Marianetti presented the PUENTE Project and its contribution to the inclusion of Ukrainian refugees through cooperation, shared learning and non-formal education. The session also created space for dialogue with participants, who had the opportunity to ask questions and reflect on how the project’s approach can be applied in their professional contexts.

As highlighted during the meeting, “Many hands make light work” — a message that reflects the collaborative spirit of PUENTE Project and the importance of working together to build more inclusive communities.

Poland: bringing PUENTE to future education professionals

PUENTE Project was also presented at the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow, in a meeting organised by the university’s Pedagogy and Family Studies Student Research Group.

The event was addressed to final-year pedagogy students, who are among the professionals who may directly benefit from the project’s outcomes in their future work. The meeting focused on how PUENTE Project can be used in pedagogical practice within the Polish education system, with particular attention to inclusion, educational support and the role of non-formal learning.

The session was facilitated by Natalia Gębka and Magdalena Ochońska, creating a valuable exchange between the project and the academic community.
